Progress Report!

In Look what I did!, My novel: The Third Heaven: The Rise of Fallen Stars on November 29, 2012 at 12:19 pm

Ok for those that keep up with me. Here is a little update on my book.

Entitled The Third Heaven: The Rise of Fallen Stars the book currently stands at 378 pages and 106, 028 words. I am still strengthening the character stories, plugging a few holes in the draft, and smoothing the prose. But its nearing the end.

What is the book about you ask?

I love the Bible. I love the story of how Lucifer, chose to usurp God, and in his audacity was able to convince a third of heavens populace to join him. I have always wondered, what events, were so compelling that Heaven itself could be shredded by civil war? What weakness did Lucifer perceive in God that he thought he could exploit and usurp the King of the universe? What strategy did the Adversary assume would catapult him to rule? And was his motivation purely selfish? Was it due entirely to the creation of man as some might suggest?

My protagonist Michael ponders similar questions as he overlooks the Lake of Fire; in the prologue he sees his brother Lucifer amidst the flames and engages in conversation one last moment before he and his brother forever part ways: a question that Micheal asks as he looks over the flowing monstrosity of punishment which is that Lake of Fire and reflectively asks…

“How did it come to this?”

If you think you would like to preview the book and give me feedback I am looking for two final beta readers. I also want to thank Philip Andrew Wardlow, for  giving me great feedback.

Well after a brief hiatus I am back to expressing my muse.  My laptop after going through eye surgery now bristles in vibrant colors as its new LED screen flashes my key strokes across its brightly lit screen.

But all is not lost as I have rewritten the introducing chapter to my novel and feel much better about the character development which follows.  My goal is to complete the final draft by the end of December.

Stay tuned for another trailer!

Challenges, challenges, challenges.

Well this week was an interesting time to say the least, as my laptop display suddenly decided it no longer desired to display.  It apparently thinks my seeing a dark screen serves me right for the volume of work that I’ve inflicted on it over the years.

Consequently it has been sent to the great disciplinarian of screens who will show it the error of its ways and have it happily broadcasting my desktop once more.  I was told this may take several days.

But until then, I will continue to muse over this feeble act of rebellion and rest assured when its reeducation is complete, you will once more be assaulted with random acts of musing.

Until then.
